- Tony calls 5:00 Pm Friday Sept 18. Wants to do the interview right now.
We arrange to shoot the next day, Saturday at 10:15 AM.
- Tony phones at 8:30 AM and cancels the interview. He says he must run
a written request by caucus before he can do an interview.
- Sat. Sept. 19 at 9:17 AM I email a written request for an interview
to Tony Ruprecht, as requested by Tony for his caucus to vette.
- A staffer e-mails me on Monday Sept 28 with info and a letter (the one
sent to Scott Dobson) from May but not word about interview.
- Friday October 2 Tony R calls me at home and says he ‘can’t’
do the interview. He hangs up on me.
- Called Tony at his QP office and he told me what he’s doing on
the issue (which is very little, if anything) and that 'will have to be
good enough’.

staffer who took my info and said someone would get back to me and weekends
were the best time to do an interview.

- Thursday Oct 15 Silva’s office e-mails about 2 hours before the
start time to cancel the interview without explanation.
- They suggest a phone interview the next day.
- The arrangement is Mario calls me the next morning. He does. We talk
on the phone and he tries to shift the blame to the city.

He asks for a written request in more detail –where when why etc.
I ask him if the request has to go through caucus. He says he doesn’t
know but will find out. We discuss shooting the interview by the end of
November.
- Nov 2. Andrew responds by e-mail and says Laura will do the interview
and they have a couple of dates but he doesn’t say what the dates
are. He asks for a list of questions.
- I send the list of questions and the other info Andrew asks for by e-mail
on Nov 3. Have not heard from them since and still no answer to the question
of whether or not the request goes through caucus.

was making a doc. Awaiting a response.
- Nov 25 Jackie calls to ask what program I’m in. She wants to know

James (Jim) O'Mara, Executive Lead, Environment Planning and Policy
James (Jim) O'Mara joined Metrolinx on a secondment in October 2007,
as Executive Lead for Environmental Policy and Planning. He brings more
than 25 years of policy and program development, as well as operational
delivery experience. When he joined Metrolinx, Jim was Director of Environmental
Assessment and Approvals in the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. He
has worked in a number of infrastructure and economic development ministries,
including the Ministries of Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development
and Trade. He has also led the development and implementation of several
important Ontario government initiatives such as the establishment of
Government Information Centres in the Greater Toronto Area. Jim was seconded
to the federal Royal Commission on the Future of the Toronto Waterfront
where he worked on development plans in the Central Waterfront and the
Port of Toronto. He began his career in the public service in the Legislative
Assembly of Ontario where he worked on the Public Accounts Committee.
Prior to joining the Legislative Assembly, he taught in the geography
program at several universities, including York, McMaster, and Ryerson.
Kim Lambert, Executive Lead, Corporate Services
Kim Lambert is the Director of Corporate Services. She was the Director
of the Modal Policy and Partnerships Branch, Ministry of Transportation,
where she managed the relationship between the province and 407 ETR Concession
Company Limited, the private company that operates Highway 407. Her role
included building relationships and influencing stakeholders while providing
technical knowledge and advice on all modes of the transportation system
to support government policy development and broader strategic initiatives.
Kim has worked in three divisions of the Ministry of Transportation and
was formerly the Manager of the Municipal Office and the Local Services
Realignment Office. She joined the Ontario Public Service in 1980, in
the Thunder Bay Regional Office, and has been a key contributor to policy
development in the Policy, Planning and Standards Division of the Ministry
of Transportation.
